 The
How-To-Gardener is owned and operated by Michael and Dianne
Mahanna. Mike has over 25 years of experience in the fields
of horticulture and arboriculture. In 1993, Mike obtained
his Certified Arborist Status with the International Society
of Arboriculture and is an active member of the NYS Arborist
Assoc.
In his
first five years, Mike was a landscape designer for two local
landscape companies. For the last 20 years, Mike has worked
as a horticulturist and arborist for Hamilton College. Of
those 20 years, most were spent as a gardener at the Hamilton
College Root Glen.
Mike is
also proud of the volunteer work he does as a Master Gardener
for the Cornell Cooperative Extension. Mike and Dianne reside
in the Village of Clinton with their two children Ryan and
Melanie, and dog Buckwheat.
